Whatsapp Latest Feature
Spotting Fake Forwarded Messages using the new Whatsapp Feature.
Are you also tired of the spread of fake news on social media platforms especially on WhatsApp so don’t worry now WhatsApp latest feature has now taken some genuine steps to counter check the news? First, it has reduced the number of people a message can be forwarded to at one time and that is to 5 people.
The messaging app owned by Facebook has further introduced a “search the web “feature so that fake forwarded messages could be spotted.
It is a simple way in which messages which have been forwarded many times can be searched to get related news, results, or other sources of information related to the content received. To use this users will have to upload the message via browser without the message being seen by WhatsApp itself.
These messages will have to be double-checked by just clicking on the magnifying glass button in the chatbox.
On Clicking the magnifying glass button screen will automatically be taken to Google search to check whether the message is fake or not.
This new update also brings a special label to the messages that have been forwarded many times so that users can know whether the message has been written or forwarded.
This update has been rolled out in Brazil, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Spain, UK but we don’t know that when will it be launched in India and the rest of the subcontinent.
Hence with passing time new WhatsApp features have allowed users to verify messages before forwarding them to other groups and individuals as well.
A few days ago WhatsApp also brought a new update of having chat app on multiple devices.
According to sources, this will work through the new Linked Devices feature and the news is that this update is currently under development and no one knows when it will be officially launched.
